Frequently Asked Questions

Check the answers to the most frequently asked questions about our prescription glasses.

How do I choose the perfect frame for my prescription glasses?

Three keys: face shape (choose shapes that contrast with your face), correct size (the width of the lens should match your face) and appropriate material. If you have a strong prescription, opt for smaller frames so that the lenses are thinner.

What is the difference between single vision lenses and progressive lenses?

The single vision lenses correct for one distance (far or near). The progressive lenses integrate all distances into a single lens: far at the top, intermediate in the middle, and near at the bottom. They are ideal from the age of 40-45 when presbyopia (eye strain) appears.

Can I graduate any frame?

Almost all, but there are exceptions. Very curved frames (sport wraparounds) require special lenses. Very large frames with high prescriptions will result in thick and heavy lenses. At OpticalH, we advise you on which frames are compatible with your prescription.

How long does it take to make prescription glasses?

It depends on the type of lens. Standard single vision lenses usually take 5-7 days. Progressive lenses or lenses with special treatments may take 10-15 days. If you need glasses urgently, check our options for in-stock lenses with fast delivery.

Is it worth investing in treatments for lenses?

Yes, especially the anti-reflective (reduces glare and visual fatigue), the blue light protection (essential if you use screens) and the hardening (prevents scratches). The photochromic treatment is also very practical: it darkens the lenses in sunlight and clears up indoors.
