Most of our current Chanel round stock comes in Mazzucchelli acetate; a few finer series in metal. Sizes range from 47 to 56 mm — 52-53 is the most comfortable for most. All can be fitted with any prescription. What appears here is what we have in stock right now; the listing changes with rotation. Para quién funcionan
Round frames work best on square or rectangular faces — they soften angles without overpowering. On round faces they tend to look small or echo the face shape; pantos or oval styles are usually a better fit there. If you'll wear them for hours outdoors, acetate grips better than metal: once sweat starts, metal arms slip on the bridge and the glasses slide down.
Cómo elegir bien
- Size before style: if a 56 mm round overwhelms your face, it doesn't matter how beautiful it is. Check the first number in the model code (CH3476 53 17 → 53 mm).
- Acetate if you wear them for hours or want colour; metal if you want lightness.
- For strong sun, solid grey or brown lenses. Gradient lenses offer less protection at the bottom; mirrored ones are more aesthetic than truly dark.
- If your prescription exceeds ±4 D, avoid very thin temples: the lens weight drags the frame forward.
Sobre esta forma
Chanel signed its eyewear license with Luxottica in 1999. Before that, the maison had no proper eyewear catalogue: anything bearing the logo earlier was jewellery or unrelated accessories. Since then, all frames are made in Italy at the Agordo and Sedico plants, with Mazzucchelli acetate in the main series. The round shape has stayed in the lineup almost unchanged — model codes evolve (4243, 4257, 3474…), but the silhouette is essentially the same as twenty years ago.
