How much do progressive glasses cost? Prices 2026

Configurator estimates checked on 14 October 2026 · Spain/EUR reference

How much do complete progressive glasses cost?

The price of complete progressive glasses combines the frame and the pair of lenses. In the OpticalH assistant checked for Spain in euros, Base progressive lenses start at approximately €280 per pair, excluding the frame. Base with hard coating and anti-reflection starts at approximately €350 per pair. These are initial estimates: the prescription, fitting measurements and chosen options determine the quotation that needs confirmation.

Start by browsing frames for progressive glasses. The table below separates lens estimates from the frame; the example shows how to add those components. Confirm prices and delivery for your destination rather than treating this EUR reference as a local-currency offer.

Progressive lens prices: reference table

Assistant optionInitial estimate per pair, excluding frameWhat to check
BaseFrom ~€280The assistant shows hard coating from ~€280 and hard coating with anti-reflection from ~€350.
PremiumFrom ~€440Check the coating, filter and options available for your configuration.
Premium PlusFrom ~€560Confirm the proposed design and what the final quotation includes.

These are estimates shown when starting the progressive selection, not a market-wide price range or a total valid for every prescription. Base, Premium and Premium Plus are configurator labels; they do not identify a particular Varilux, HOYA or ZEISS design.

A complete price example: frame plus two lenses

On 14 October 2026, the Cazal 7120 001 55 19 frame was displayed at €253 in the Spain/EUR reference. The assistant showed Base progressive lenses with hard coating and anti-reflection from approximately €350 per pair. Adding those components gives an indicative €253 + ~€350 = ~€603, before any applicable delivery cost.

This dated calculation is an example, not a confirmed personal quotation. Check the current frame price and confirm the combination for your prescription and measurements before ordering.

Why do progressive glasses prices differ?

Two quotations with similar totals can contain different components. Separate these four choices:

  • Lens design: ask for the exact reference and included personalisation parameters, rather than comparing a brand or “premium” label alone.
  • Material and index: identify the proposed specification; a material is not the same thing as a progressive design family.
  • Coatings and filters: check whether hard coating, anti-reflection, colour or photochromic options are included, and compare the same combination.
  • Frame: add its price separately and have fitting height and adjustment checked. A photograph cannot establish compatibility.

Comparing Varilux, HOYA and ZEISS prices

A brand name does not identify equivalent products. Varilux is an Essilor family, while HOYA and ZEISS also offer different progressive designs. Compare the exact design, material, coatings and personalisation as well as the amount quoted.

Do not assign a manufacturer to the table's configurator tiers without confirmation. If you want a specific design, request its reference and quotation. Our guide to comparing progressive lens brands explains what to check.

Affordable progressive glasses: where to adjust the budget

Compare frames at different prices and ask for each extra to be itemised. Check whether a starting price is for one lens or the pair, whether it includes the frame and which coatings are included. A lens-only advertisement cannot be compared directly with a complete-glasses quotation.

Before adding colour, photochromic or other filters, ask which options address your needs and what each adds to the price. Keep your prescription and necessary measurements unchanged; agree component choices with the team rather than altering optical values to reduce the amount.

What a progressive glasses quotation should include

  • The selected frame model, size and price.
  • The lens reference and confirmation that the amount covers the pair.
  • Material, index, coatings and filters, with extras separated.
  • The prescription, centration measurements and fitting required.
  • The total, delivery and review or adaptation terms applicable to the order.

Use that breakdown to compare options. Browse frames and prepare your progressive glasses quotation.

How to prepare your quotation

  1. Choose a prescription frame and open its lens assistant.
  2. Select progressives and compare the options offered for your configuration.
  3. Provide the prescription and requested measurements. Ask the team if information is missing.
  4. Review the frame and lens breakdown, delivery, conditions and confirmed total.

A personalised estimate needs confirmation before manufacture. Being able to select a frame does not establish physical warehouse stock or a delivery date.

Questions about progressive glasses prices

Does €280 cover complete glasses?

No. It is the initial Spain/EUR estimate shown for a pair of Base progressive lenses, excluding the frame. Add the selected frame price and confirm delivery and the final quotation for your prescription and measurements.

Is anti-reflection included in the minimum price?

The assistant shows Base with hard coating from approximately €280 per pair and Base with hard coating and anti-reflection from approximately €350. Compare the same combination and confirm the final price before ordering.

Why does the price change within a tier?

Material, coating and filter combinations can differ. Compare the full breakdown and ask the team to confirm which options suit the prescription and frame.

Does Premium identify a particular lens brand?

No. The table uses configurator categories. It does not identify a manufacturer or design. Request confirmation and a quotation if you want a specific reference.

How can I adjust the budget?

Compare different frame prices and review extras separately with the team. Do not change prescription values to reduce the amount.

What if measurements are missing or the price is estimated?

Ask for help before manufacture. An estimate needs confirmation for the actual configuration; it is not a promise of delivery or a particular visual outcome.

Can I use a subsidy or insurance?

Check requirements and the procedure with the organisation or insurer. For Spain's Plan Veo, consult the official information; this article does not establish OpticalH participation or eligibility of an online purchase.
